within the individual.

Medical
Massage
(including Oncology) |
1 hour $75.00
½ hour $40.00 |
- Medical massage is specific to the condition the
person is suffering from. Many symptoms are
treated with great success, including those arising
from: Parkinson’s Disease, Fibromyalgia, Dystonia
(Torticollis), ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease),
Scoliosis, and Cancer.
- A special note concerning cancer: Until recently
it was thought that massage could aid in the spread
of cancer, since massage increases circulation. This
belief is no longer accepted since exercise, hot showers,
and sexual activity are certainly more stimulating
to the circulation than massage! However, a therapist
should be specially trained in oncology massage, due
to restrictions brought on by the various cancer treatments.

| Injuries |
|
• Massage for injuries – slip and fall,
automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, or sports-related—is
very important.
Many of these events are covered by insurance. Treatment
is usually prescribed by a physician, and the massage
therapist is part of the health-care team.

pain. This is also good for Fibromyalgia,
